Privacy Policy

Overview

Pavio ("we," "our," or "us") operates pavio.ai (the "Website"), an informational site where you can read educational content about cat health and join the waitlist for the upcoming Pavio Pets iPhone app — an informational tool for organizing and tracking your pet's health data. This Privacy Policy explains what the Website collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

ML BOOST, operating as Pavio, is the controller of personal data processed through the Website. You can contact us at contact@pavio.ai.

Information We Collect

The Website does not require an account, and we collect very little:

Waitlist and Newsletter

• Your email address when you join the waitlist or subscribe to updates.
• The page or form you signed up from, the signup date, and your subscription status (including an unsubscribe token used to secure your unsubscribe link).

Strictly Necessary Browser Storage

• A small local-storage entry that records recent signup attempts in your own browser, used only to prevent form abuse. It never leaves your device and expires on its own.

Error Reports

• If a page breaks in your browser, a technical error report (error message, stack trace, and the page path) is sent to our error-reporting endpoint so we can fix the bug. Reports are automatically scrubbed of email addresses, tokens, and similar identifiers before they are sent, and scrubbed again on our servers.

Server Logs and Hosting

• Standard, short-lived server and security logs (such as IP address, request details, and browser type) generated by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, to run and protect the Website.

The waitlist and our published articles are stored on Firebase (Google Cloud). We do not sell personal data, and we do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics on the Website.

Reading the Journal

You can read every article on the Website without an account and without being tracked. We do not run analytics SDKs, behavioral profiling, or cross-site tracking. Reading generates only the standard hosting logs described above.

How We Use Information

• Email you about the launch of the Pavio Pets app and related pet-health content you asked for.
• Operate, secure, and debug the Website.
• Prevent form abuse and investigate security incidents.
• Respond when you contact us.

Legal Bases

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Consent: for the waitlist and newsletter emails. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
• Legitimate interests: to secure the Website, prevent abuse, and fix errors.
• Legal obligations: to comply with tax, accounting, data protection, and lawful request obligations, including the wind-down of the former Pavio Humans product described below.

When We Share Information

We share information only as needed to operate the Website, comply with law, or with your direction. Categories of recipients may include:

• Infrastructure providers for hosting, database, security, and logs — currently Google Cloud / Firebase and Cloudflare.
• Email providers used to send waitlist and newsletter messages.
• Professional advisers and authorities when required for legal, security, accounting, or compliance reasons.
• Business transfer recipients if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information.

Legacy Pavio Humans Data

Until July 2026, pavio.ai offered a human blood-test analysis product ("Pavio Humans") with user accounts. That product has been discontinued: sign-ups and sign-ins are closed, subscriptions have been canceled, and no new health data is collected through the Website.

Data collected from former Pavio Humans users — sign-in identity (name, email, profile photo), profile details, uploaded blood-test files, extracted test values, AI-generated analyses, chat messages, nutrition logs, and Stripe billing records — is retained only for the administration of the shutdown and is not used for any other purpose.

• We delete or anonymize this data no later than 90 days after the end of the associated subscription, except for records we are legally required to keep for tax and accounting purposes.
• Former users can request immediate deletion of their data at any time by emailing contact@pavio.ai.
• Stripe, our former payment processor, retains billing records under its own legal obligations and privacy policy.

The Upcoming Pavio Pets App

This Privacy Policy covers the Website only. The Pavio Pets iPhone app, when it launches, will have its own in-app privacy policy and consent flow presented before you use it.

If the app processes pet health data you choose to track — such as lab results, weight, hydration, appetite, or medication logs — it will do so with your explicit consent, with data stored in the European Union, and with full GDPR rights including the right to delete your data at any time.

Storage, Transfers, and Security

We are operated from France and aim to store primary data in the European Union. Some service providers may process limited data in other countries. When that happens, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data, including access controls and encryption in transit. No online service can guarantee absolute security; please contact us if you suspect a problem.

Data Retention

• Waitlist and newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
• Error reports and server logs are kept for a short period needed for debugging and security, then deleted.
• Legacy Pavio Humans data is handled as described in the section above.
• Billing and compliance records may be kept longer where required by law.

Age Requirements

The Website is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to join the waitlist, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, when changes are material, provide reasonable notice through the Website or by email where appropriate.
